The vast majority of Poseidon is an inhabitable ocean, filled with coral reefs, schools of cephalopods and mysterious creatures that live in the inky depths. The only land on the entire holy land is the temple of poseidon itself, where the work of the guardians is done.
The temple resembles a huge, domed pavilion held aloft by corinthian columns, with most of its floor plan open to the breeze from the sea. Where the pavilion is broken into rooms, there are marine aquariums inset into the walls and ceilings. The few freshwater bodies to be found on Poseidon are inside the temple proper, where they are home to the holy flower, the Lotus. The temple's upper rooms often lead to balconies that give views of majestic oceanscapes, and the largest room of Poseidon is the auditorium at its center.
Indeed, with the abstract of creativity, the guardians of Neptune are expected to cultivate numerous artistic skills, foremost among them music. Most maenads or priests choose a traditional stringed instrument, but others are considered acceptable if unconventional. Every guardian of Poseidon is a practical virtuoso at their instrument, and being entertainers is considered an important duty for those who guard the planet of artistry.
The hippocampus is the beast of Neptune, a creature known in legends to pull the chariot of Poseidon himself. Though most priests abjure their beast forms as they are typically a sign of the curse, they can assume beast form at will and as the hippocampus allows the priest of Neptune to explore their underwater realm, they are the most likely to swallow their pride and do so.
