Cronus

Cronus is known for its dark, towering peaks and thick forests of conifers that leave anyone who wanders through them shrouded in darkness. Cronus is frequently cloudy or surrounded in fog; the ambiance has been known to disquiet more than a few unfamiliar with the land.

Unlike the other temples, which are surrounded by closely maintained gardens, Cronus is surrounded by a great field of wildflowers, predominantly bright red poppies. The temple itself is square and made of dark, roughly hewn stone--it resembles the citadels of medieval Europe.

Though the abstract of Saturn is despair, the priest and maenads of Saturn consider understanding death and despair their duty--not succumbing to it. After all, they reason, by facing the darker side of life, it prepares us for those times which are difficult.

The guardian beast of Saturn is the basilisk, the legendary reptile which can turn a man to stone with a look. Thankfully, the beast of Saturn's powers are a bit more directed than the beast of legend's are.
